Merry Christmas from the Pac Fire team

Can you believe it’s November and the Christmas decorations are already out in the stores?

With Christmas and New Years just around the corner it seems like the right time to pass on Seasons Greetings to our customers and suppliers and advise everyone of our upcoming holiday shutdown.

Our last day of shipping and trading for 2024 will be Monday 23 December. Pac Fire will reopen for 2025 on Monday 6 January. During the closure our team remains available for emergencies. Please email urgent@pacfire.com.au or call 0405 330 266 for urgent assistance during the shutdown.

Let’s take a minute to bask in some of the excitement from 2024:

  • In February Tasmania Fire Service (TFS) selects the MSA Bristol Particulate Blocking Flash Hood as their structural fire hood.
  • Fire & Rescue NSW (FRNSW) moves into an updated model of Pacific R6C ‘Challenger’ for their rescue and multi-purpose helmet – compatible with the new Rescue Eye Protector.
  • Titan PBI® structural fire gloves from MSA Bristol are selected as the FRNSW service gloves.
  • In April we experience the lightweight protection of Peak5 – an outershell fabric from TenCate. PBI® Peak5 delivers leading thermal performance and durability without the heavy weight.
  • After years of research and collaboration with Australian Fire Services, THORZT release their Responder Formula Solo Shots. The new formula has been designed for people working in extreme conditions, like first responders, containing three times the amount of electrolytes found in a traditional THORZT solo shot while remaining low in sugar.
  • Pac Fire releases an update to the popular Pacific R6C ‘Challenger’ Multi-Purpose helmet in May 2024. The new model of ‘Challenger’ includes the Rescue Eye Protector as standard that adjusts on multiple axis for better compatibility with more face shapes and a range of spectacles.
  • Norther Territory Fire & Rescue Service (NTFRS) adopt the Pacific R6C as their multi-purpose and rescue helmet in June 2024. The NTFRS R6 ‘Challenger’ incorporates the Pacific Rescue Eye Protector as standard.
  • In July Rescue Stretch, innovative technology from W.L Gore & Associates combined with design from MSA Bristol, became the official garment of ARO (the Australasian Rescue Organisation).
  • The 2024 Catalogue was released in August including over 20 new products and other useful information on how to order items like Pac Fire favourite, Red Rack.
  • Ready in time for AFAC. The Adalit L.20 Flashlight and the clip to mount to a Pacific EOB became ready in July 2024 – just in time to show at the 2024 AFAC Exhibition.
  • We travelled to Sydney for AFAC24 and became the conferences first Diamond Exhibitor signifying our participation in over 30 AFAC Exhibitions.
  • In another AFAC first, we held the ‘Bring your helmet to AFAC’ program during the exhibition. The program focused on education surrounding regular routine inspections and common issues identified in helmets that have been out in the field.
  • Pac Fire went south of the border for the NSW RFS State Championships held in Albury, NSW, 13-15 September. Congratulations to NSW RFS – Vacy Brigade, winners of the senior division and Orchard Hills Rural Fire Brigade Black Lambs winners of the junior division.
  • Our friends at THORZT have been hard at work this year with the release of another new product in October 2024 – THORZT Effervescent Tablets. Designed to put the fizz back in your day THORZT Effervescent Tablets are a great tasting, scientifically designed hydration booster for physically active individuals in hot working climates.
  • The final event on the FRNSW Firefighter Championships calendar was the State Championships held in Wagga Wagga, October 24-26. Visitors Echuca CFA took home the overall win, with Fire & Rescue NSW Wyong in second and Kootingal Moonbi NSW RFS team coming in third.
  • Our team headed to New Zealand in late October for the UFBA AGM & Conference Hui in Christchurch. We were proud to display our range of helmets, garments, gloves, footwear and accessories to members and attendees and send them away with the new Pac Fire Catalogue.
  • In November the Pac Fire Team was fortunate enough to get a sneak peak at something big (or perhaps we should say small) from Ben at Blowhard Fans. Be prepared – its coming in 2025 – it will blow you away.
